Medical disclaimer

This page states, without qualification, the limits of what this website and our company can do for you. Please read it in full before relying on anything here.

1. No medical advice

Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a professional clinical opinion. The content is provided for general orientation only. It is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician who has examined you and reviewed your records in person.

Do not delay seeking medical attention, and do not disregard advice you have received from a licensed physician, because of something you have read here.

2. Not a healthcare provider

South China Medical does not hold a medical licence and does not practise medicine. Our staff do not diagnose, prescribe, interpret diagnostic images, recommend a procedure, or give an opinion on prognosis. Where our team includes people with clinical or scientific backgrounds, they act in a coordination capacity only, and their involvement does not create a clinical relationship with you.

3. Hospital information

The hospitals listed on this site are the first batch designated by Guangdong Province for international medical services, announced on 26 March 2026 by the provincial Health Commission, Healthcare Security Administration and Medical Products Administration. The pilot runs for the 2026–2027 period and the list is subject to periodic review, with hospitals able to be added or removed.

Descriptions of clinical strengths, specialty focus and reported experience are compiled from publicly available information. They are indicative, are not official designations, rankings or endorsements, and should not be treated as a statement that a particular hospital is appropriate for your condition. Suitability is determined solely by the hospital’s own physicians after reviewing your records.

We hold no agency, partnership, joint venture or endorsement arrangement with any hospital named on this site. Hospital names appear for identification purposes only. No hospital logo, photograph or trade mark is used.

4. No guarantee of outcome

We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, about the results of any treatment, the availability of any particular physician, or the accuracy of any cost estimate. Estimates are indicative and may change once the hospital has assessed you in person. Medical treatment carries risk, including risks of complication, and outcomes vary between individuals.

5. Travel and fitness to fly

Travelling for treatment carries its own clinical risk. You must obtain clearance from your treating physician before flying, particularly if you have cardiac or respiratory disease, recent surgery, or are in the later stages of pregnancy. Airlines may require a medical certificate. We do not assess fitness to travel and cannot be responsible for a decision to travel made without medical clearance.

6. Medication and products

Any medication, herbal preparation or device you obtain in China should be prescribed or dispensed by a licensed professional within the hospital. Do not purchase medicines from unlicensed sources. Check your own country’s rules on importing medication before you travel home, as some substances lawfully prescribed in China may be restricted or prohibited where you live.

7. Emergencies

This website and our enquiry service are not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number immediately. In China, dial 120 for an ambulance. We cannot dispatch medical assistance.

8. Regulatory variation

Medical practice, eligibility criteria and legality differ between jurisdictions. Treatments available in China may not be lawful or approved in your country of residence, and some services — including certain assisted reproduction arrangements — are subject to restrictions that we will explain before you commit to anything. Commercial surrogacy is prohibited in China.

9. External links and third parties

Where we link to hospital or third-party websites, we do not control their content and accept no responsibility for it. Their terms and privacy policies apply.
